At the end of a long, hard day, few things beat soaking up the warm, soothing waters of your own spa. And you'll relax even easier knowing you've made the best investment.

While water quality and maintenance are key issues for hot tub owners, most of us don't even consider the surface area above the water line, says Bill Faulhaber from Lucite International.

The company manufactures Lucite® cast acrylic a durable, functional material most commonly used to surface spas, baths and sinks.

"Hot tubs surfaced with Lucite cast acrylic have a non-porous surface and antimicrobial protection that won't wear off because it's part of the actual surface," says Faulhaber. "Only hot tubs surfaced with Lucite are available with Microban® anti-microbial product protection."

Used in a multitude of consumer, industrial and medical products around the world, Microban inhibits the growth of bacteria that can cause odors and stains.

"Microban product protection makes the spa surface easier to clean and keeps it cleaner between cleanings," says Faulhaber.

Lucite comes in a wide choice of color options, including solid shades, rich luminous effects and natural stone-like finishes that resemble marble and granite.

Complementing these looks with an environmentally friendly alternative to wood, is the TimberStone® hot-tub surround range. Resistant to weathering, mildew, rot and stains, Timberstone allows you to have the same durable, easy-care surface on the exterior of your spa as its interior.
