Strong lines
Retro colours, interesting textures and stainless steel appliances from Smeg add character to this small kitchen
No matter how small your kitchen, you can't manage without certain essential equipment. However, by choosing appliances of an appropriate size and integrating them, they need not dominate the space.
For this small kitchen in a terrace house, designer Greg Natale selected from the Smeg range of appliances.
Smeg's stainless steel 60cm-wide oven fits neatly under the countertop without taking up a lot of space in the kitchen. This model offers six functions including fan forced baking, conventional baking, grill and fan grill.
For convenience, it has stay-clean oven liners, removable roof liners and side racks, and an easy-clean removable door. Safety features include a safe-to-touch triple-glazed glass door.
The 60cm Smeg stainless steel gas hob has four burners and a triple-ring wok burner. The automatic electronic ignition makes it simple to operate, while the removable hob controls ensure it is easy to clean.
To keep the air free of steam and fumes, a powerful Smeg rangehood has been built into the wall cabinetry. This rangehood has an extraction rate of 1600m³ and a four speed fan.
