Good news spreads fast, and the same can be said for the reputation of designers noted for their chic, practical kitchens.

The Mastercraft group of experienced kitchen designers, manufacturers and installers already covers the North Island and is now in the process of expanding services through the South Island, says business services manager Kevin Belz.

The kitchen here is a case in point. Design consultant Sheryl Owen was asked to create a furniture look that would reflect the clients' love of warm timber tones and wouldn't date. Her response was a kitchen with dark-stained American white oak cabinetry and solid Corian benchtops.
