Street smart
A strong street presence, diverse apartment options and a sustainable design are hallmarks of the Newstead Terraces residential development
Aversatile roofing and cladding material was required for the project's complex exterior.
Installation company Copperform was asked by Sunland to install pre-weathered New Generation VM Zinc on feature areas of the facade, says general manager Gavin Appleby.
"The developer selected the product for its up-market finish and enduring strength," says Appleby. "Another attraction was the zinc's malleability, which worked well with the exterior's many curves and varied use of panelling."
A standing seam cladding style was chosen, in an environmentally friendly quartz finish.
"Installation was straight forward, due to the user-friendly nature of the zinc. Suited to most roof pitches and for straight, curved, and folded forms, it provided complete freedom of expression."
