Solid as a rock
Pietra Serena tiles are durable enough for indoor and outdoor projects and are available in a wide range of textures and colours
Contemporary design often calls for the mixing and matching of different textures and colours. The wide array of tiles available today and the fact that they can be used on both walls and floors makes creating an eclectic style easy.
Pietra Serena tiles from Rocks On Hard Surface Solutions are mono-calibrated. This means that every tile is exactly the same size, making it possible to mix colours and textures in the laying of tiled surfaces.
New to the market, this range is scratch-resistant and stain-proof, and is suitable for use both indoors and out. John Berry from Rocks On says that application is a simple process.
"Once Pietra Serena tiles are laid, there is no need for extra sealing. These tiles are micro-sealed for hard-wearing and have rectified edges for minimum grout joints."
Outdoor tiles can be damaged by the weather, especially in extreme climates. Pietra Serena tiles are slip-resistant and frost-resistant up to -35ËC. They are also fire-retardant and graffiti-proof, and have a water absorption rate of less than 0.02%.
These tiles come in a variety of contemporary colours, from a pale Ivory to a stone black Graphite. Surface finishes range from bocciardato (bush-hammered) to lappato (smooth).
