Sense of history
While we are often looking to the future, we should always have an awareness of our past. Enkeboll Designs was built around this maxim
There is a way of living that has a certaingrace and beauty. It is not a constant race for what is next, but rather an appreciation of what has gone before.
These are the words of Raymond Enkeboll, founder of Enkeboll Designs, a manufacturer of architectural woodcarvings. Although he has since passed, the business remains in the family, and his thoughts continue to form the basis of the company philosophy.
Ever since Raymond Enkeboll used the influence of antique pieces and folk art he had seen in his travels across Europe and Asia, the company has built a solid reputation within the American industry.
Enkeboll wood carvings are filled with a sense of old-world grandeur. Their range of over 600 items includes corbels, finials, onlays, crowns, moldings, arches and mantels. Each design lends complexity and depth to whichever part of the home it adorns.
Recently the company introduced four new collections based on 19th Century art and design movements. Art Nouveau, with its nature-inspired curves; Monarch Bay, portraying Caribbean elegance;Vineyard, characterized by meandering vines and flowing leaves; and Arts & Crafts, with its integrity of line.
These collections can be used alone or in combination to create personalized spaces with a fresh interpretation of the traditional.
