Permanent holiday
Resort-style living, complete with home theatre, will haveyou believing that every day is a holiday
With an almost endless variety of styles, colours and materials, tiles have been a part of the building industry for as long as there's been one. Tiles offer a range of benefits, not least of which is the ability to suit any decor.
"Harwood wanted to emphasise the elegance of its show home, so we chose a range of neutral tones ivories and beiges to reflect this," says Bay Tiles' director Karen Pickford.
"As the entrance sets the mood for the rest of the home, it was decided to use polished porcelain tiles with a tumbled marble insert in Riviera Ivory to add both visual interest and toaccentuate the grandeur of the space."
Reflecting the functionality of the bathrooms and their need to be low maintenance, tiles were used floor to ceiling.
"Larger tiles 330mm x 600mm in Amberes Crema and Amberes Beige were used on the walls to provide as seamless a look as possible, with Amberes Grafito on the floor creating a counterpoint," says Pickford.
