"The first step is to do a full consultation with the clients this can take three hours or more discussing style, look and budget."

Once the look has been established andproducts have been chosen, the important thing is to establish the positioning of the products.

"Is the bath going to be hard up against the wall or in a cradle? This is important because it will affect whether you have wall-mounted or deck-mounted spouts, in turn affecting what the plumber will have to do," says Thompson.

"We go over all of this with the client, right from the start, and can offer advice at each step."
