Listening to your favourite music in the comfort of your own home is a relaxing experience. To hear it played live normally requires a completely different atmosphere.

A sound system from B&W Loudspeakers can bring together the best of both these experiences. You can have high-quality sound without leaving home, says marketing manager James Harding.

"The time spent on research and development ensures our speakers are well suited to the residential market. For the same reasons, they are also the choice for music studios such as Abbey Road and for directors like George Lucas," he says.

New from Bowers & Wilkins is the FPM2 system which is designed to be used with plasma and LCD screens.

"The flat panel monitor was developed in response to the popularity of plasma and LCD screens. It also fits in with the simple, clean lines of modern minimalist decor.

"This system is designed to give optimum sound quality from a small, flat speaker. It is for people who have limited space, but still want good sound," says Harding.

For those who prefer a more classically shaped speaker, B&W Loudspeakers also offers its 700 series. The floorstanding and bookcase speakers in this series are designed with focus on both the components and the exterior appearance. They not only look good, but also deliver a wide range of sound with good sensitivity.

B&W has been designing sound systems for almost 40 years and the technology used to build its Nautilus speaker is still considered to be groundbreaking, says Harding.
