With more than 30 years' experience in the industry and completed projects totalling $2 billion, Richard Crookes Constructions has a proven record in the residential building sector. It was this experience that helped the company secure the contract to build the first two residential stages of Discovery Point, says marketing manager Nyerie Levonian.

"Richard Crookes Constructions has a diverse capability gained from participation in government consortiums through to smaller projects.

"For Discovery Point the company entered into a design and construction contract with developers Australand and Landcom. The project consists of 223 apartments, multiple levels of basement car parking, and commercial and retail areas."

Levonian says challenging aspects of the job included interfacing the Greenbank building with existing heritage buildings and realising the complex design by Cox Richardson Architects, which included many split-level apartments.
