Our good health
By creating appliances that are efficient, safe, and kind to the planet, Westinghouse looks at the bigger picture
Part of creating a responsible family home is ensuring your appliances include a focus on child safety. Another child-friendly consideration is buying appliances that won't strain the energy resources of the world your children are set to inherit.
Westinghouse appliances are designed to bring practical, thoughtful solutions to the modern family kitchen, says assistant marketing manager Megan Reeves.
"This kitchen's Westinghouse Virtuoso refrigerator, for example, has an external blue-lit control panel governing everything from temperature settings to a bottle-chill alarm. Its energy-conscious make-up includes a door alarm and a holiday-mode setting that comes into play if the door isn't opened over a 30-hour period," she says. "The versatile interior includes roller bins and a Storesafe drawer to keep medicines away from inquisitive fingers."
A water- and energy-efficient Virtuoso dishwasher is also easy on the planet as well as your energy bills. The kitchen's multi-function duo oven has a triple-glazed door to lock in the heat, and ensure the oven remains cool to the touch.
"The Virtuoso gas hob is equally safety conscious," she says. "As well as electronic ignition, it has a flame-failure device to further ensure a safe kitchen environment."
