Ornamental options
These highly finished kitchen designs sit comfortably within open-plan spaces
With the modern tendency towards merged kitchen and dining spaces comes a need for a kitchen workspace that is both decorative and functional.
Available from Palazzo Design, the Casale kitchen by Italian-owned company Rational fulfils this brief. Smoked oak cabinetry, with the option of gold dragged lacquer, creates an opulent look that can be carried through to the dining area with matching tables and chairs. Patterns etched on the glass doors of the cabinetry add to the luxe effect.
For a warmer and more traditional look, Palazzo Design also stocks Rational's Chalet kitchen. Convex framed panelling on the cabinet fronts gives a contemporary slant to this cottage style. Cabinets are available in a variety of colours, including white alabaster, as pictured right.
Palazzo Design's managing director Ron Neale says the company's in-house design team can reconfigure any of the kitchens in stock to fit any space.
"We are also able to create entire kitchen packages from our extensive range of appliances and cabinetry. The lead time for a complete kitchen solution is between 12 and 14 weeks," he says.
