"In the original plans, the house had a void above the living area, but this was replaced with the master suite on the upper level, which maximises the view."

Dean says the wood walls and sarking on the ceiling were painted white to give the home a beachy feel, reminiscent of homes in the Hamptons and Cape Cod.
