For the owners of this new house designed and built by Starr Constructions, that place is the inviting open-plan living area that overlooks a resort-style pool landscape.
The house was designed with entertaining in mind, which makes it a great family home. The kitchen, dining and living rooms flow into one another, and the full-height glazing allows uninterrupted views. Sliding doors also ensure the entire space can open right up, rather like an airy pavilion.
A sculptural staircase with wood treads widens at the base, creating an easy link with the upper level. The second floor houses the master suite, three additional bedrooms, a family bathroom and a large sitting area or media room with a gabled ceiling. This room opens onto a balcony that looks out to a picturesque view of mature gum trees all Starr Constructions homes are designed to maximise attractive views and winter sunlight.
