Natural touch
Contrasting earth tones add a subtle sophistication to this new kitchen featuring materials from The Laminex Group

In any new kitchen there are numerous surface materials to consider. Benchtops, cabinetry, splashbacks and panels on the front and sides of an island all need to co-ordinate for a harmonious look. But knowing where to start can be difficult.
For Icon Homes, the company that built the kitchen featured on these pages, the solution was to consult with The Laminex Group. The result is a sophisticated tone-on-tone kitchen that was also cost effective, say Icon Homes directors William Orrick and Rex de Baugh.
The Laminex Group's products featured here include a Seratone Silverseal Graphite splashback. The darker shade of the Seratone is contrasted by CaesarStone benchtops in Osprey.

The front panel of the island features Laminex Innovations laminate in Sheer Mesh, which provides a soft, textured look. Seratone Oxide Fossil side panels complement this and have a light-diffusing effect.
William Orrick says the combination of products from The Laminex Group helps to lighten the kitchen, creating a pleasant working environment, which blends in with the rest of the home.
The durability of the products was a key consideration for the company. Not only are the surfaces easy to keep clean, they are also heat resistant and hardwearing.
