A wall of natural stone has a rugged beauty and a sense of permanence, and neither of these qualities are replicated easily.

However, traditional stone products have always been heavy and cumbersome to work with until now. Today, it's possible to incorporate natural stone within your home, both inside and out, in a far more cost-effective way.

Its light weight means there is no need for additional structural supports, such as ledgers, footings or ties. This provides considerable savings in labour and materials."

Buechel says NSVI facings also offer aesthetic benefits.

"Natural stone weathers beautifully, and is scratch resistant and colorfast. A small chip in an artificial stone can spell disaster, visually. But a chip in natural stone will cause no harm and may well add a welcome character, as the color continues right through the stone."

Buechel says NSVI stone veneers are highly versatile and frequently appear on walls, fireplace surrounds and water features.

"Natural stone greatly enhances a home's curb appeal," he says. "It is also an investment that will pay off in the long term, as it is sure to increase the value of a home."
