Mediterranean flavour
To complement the Tuscan-style architecture of a new house in Alexandra, the Kitchen Focus team modelled this kitchen on traditional lines
There can be no better recommendation for a kitchen design and manufacturing company than repeat business except maybe repeat business six times over.
That's the number of times Jennie and Murray Hughes have re-commissioned the services of Scott Bremner and his team at Kitchen Focus in Dunedin. Jennie Hughes says six of the new kitchens were designed for homes the family was renovating in the city, but the most recent project, shown here, was a kitchen for the couple's new house in Alexandra.
"Our brief to Scott Bremner was for a character kitchen that would complement the Tuscan-Mediterranean look of the house, which sits in a vineyard."
Kitchen Focus provided Bollection moulded panel doors, with a Villa White lacquered finish. These are teamed with Black Galaxy granite benchtops and a backpainted glass splashback. Functionality is also assured, says Jennie Hughes.
"The kitchen is a very social space, and is large enough for several people to work at the same time."
Kitchen Focus has been designing and manufacturing customised kitchens for the past 26 years. The company operates in Dunedin, Central Otago and Wanaka.
