Looks meet longevity
To give your kitchen project a sleek, yet practical aesthetic, Brightworks offers a range of stainless steel surfaces
Stainless steel has a proven track record for providing hard-wearing, easy-to-clean surfaces. In recent years, however, it has gained a new kind of following, beyond its utilitarian advantages. Today, designers, architects and homeowners also celebrate stainless steel's reflective, semi-industrial look for its aesthetic appeal.
Stainless steel specialist Brightworks custom fitted this kitchen with polished stainless steel benchtops, a plinth stainless steel frame supporting the cabinetry, and the framework for a privacy screen and splashback. The benchtop sinks were also precision fitted by Brightworks.
While this client asked for satin stainless steel surfaces, Brightworks also offers a variety of textured stainless steel options, says company director Dean Francis.
"The textured metal has a modern, clean-lined feel that works well with the trend for matt stainless steel appliances," he says. "Texture options include linen, chequer and canvas, as well as the traditional satin surfaces seen here."
These patterns can be combined with various edge treatments, including square, rolled bull nose, or softened edges, to create customised solutions. Textured options add to the durability of the surfaces, making them easy to keep looking new.
