Square, modular pieces of furniture are taking centre stage in many modern homes. The use of steel plays a large part in the sleek, subdued look of these designs.

After more than 40 years of designing and manufacturing commercial steel furniture for the education and hospitality sectors, Awaroa Tubular Steel Furniture has launched a range of dining and occasional furniture for the residential market.

General manager Murray Dyson says the simple designs in chrome, glass and timber will complement any decor.

The Shell chairs, made with a mix of New Zealand and imported materials, are available in black, white, natural, cherry, beech, maple and walnut.

Awaroa Tubular Steel Furniture is a family-owned-and-operated business that prides itself on quality products and a commitment to customer service.

Its commercial range includes desks, bookcases and ancillary furniture, as well as a wide range of seating options.
