Warmth and a glowing ambience are two traditional reasons for installing a gas fireplace. However, today's hassle-free, minimalist designs go a step further, providing ever-changing, sculptural features.

Gasfx designs, develops, manufactures and markets gas heating and visual effects products to upmarket residential and commercial markets throughout Australasia, says managing director Simon Walsh.

"Our clean-lined fires offer something different making a flickering feature for homes, bars, cafes and retail stores," he says. "With a distinctive firebox set in a solid wall of marble, schist or stone, these contemporary fires create a wow factor that lifts the tone of any environment they are introduced into."

The company's gas flares are designed to create an equally dramatic effect.

"For entertainment or dining venues, or an upscale domestic residence, flares burning at an entrance or sending intermittent flames into the night sky provide a spectacular welcome," says Walsh.

Both the fires and flares are offered with the convenience of sensor, remote or manual control to suit individual needs.
