Traditional, large-profile barrel roofing tiles further enhance the European look. Designer Mark Wilson specified a blend of two aged clay tiles from Solerati Lucentum and Aitana.

Marshall Burrowes of Solerati says the authenticity is not only in the weathered appearance of the European-manufactured tiles it is also in the way they were laid. The roofing installers laid the dark- and light-coloured tiles in a 60:40 ratio, taking care not to duplicate any patterns.
