Add the right finishing touch to your windows, with custom-made timber blinds from Brightshine Venetians
With their clean-looking, slim-line aesthetic, versatility and minimal care requirements, blinds are becoming an increasingly popular window-treatment choice for contemporary and traditional homes.
Lynne Watts from Brightshine Venetians says regardless of a home's decor and architectural style, there is a blind option to suit.
"Wooden blinds are a nice complement to timber flooring," she says. "They are also well suited to the modern look of new homes and apartments."
Brightshine Venetians custom makes timber blinds in a selection of 15 natural wood colours, including Teak, Mahogany and Jarrah.
When it comes to colour, Watts says the darker tones, such as Walnut are coming into vogue.
"Our custom colour, Autumn Amber, is also very popular for older homes, as it works well with the honey tones of aged rimu floors," she says.
A major benefit of Brightshine Venetians lies in the fabrication process, says Watts.
"Rather than cutting the cord holes in the pre-coated slats, Brightshine punches the slats before they're lacquered. This ensures all the holes are fully sealed and protected," she says.
Brightshine timber blinds are coated in Mirotone lacquer, which contains a UV inhibitor to prolong the life of the lacquer. The company also provides information on correct blind care and maintenance.
As well as making timber blinds, Brightshine Venetians repairs and re-slats existing timber blinds. The company also makes 25mm aluminium blinds, durable canvas blinds and Mermet sheers, designed to filter out UV rays while preserving the view. Holland blinds are also available.
