Kister Architects wins 2022 TIDA Australia Powder Room of the Year
Congratulations to Kister Architects, winner of the 2022 TIDA Australia Powder Room of the Year – a powder room that perfectly integrates into the home's interior design scheme
The interiors of this home feature a green-blue palette and timber lining to reference nature, and utilise biophilic design principles.
The powder room sits in the triangular junction between the home’s public and private zones overlooking a central courtyard.
Timber cladding cleverly conceals the powder room, together with a cloak room and laundry/mud space.
The hidden timber door opens to reveal a surprisingly light volume, set internally with no windows.
Instead, light floods in from a skylight that spans the basin and toilet, creating ever-changing hues on the green/brown glazed tiles and gold wallpaper.
The TIDA judges were impressed by the way this powder room integrates into the overall interior design of the home, creating a secluded, private retreat.
Congratulations to Ilana Kister of Kister Architects, winner of the 2022 TIDA Australia Powder Room of the Year.
