How each of us likes to spend our holidays is a very personal choice. You may surround yourself with friends or prefer to retreat with a good book. But whatever you do, how you choose to relax should be the most important consideration when designing a holiday home.

At Iccon Homes, the company owners understand that a house intended as a retreat has very different requirements to a full-time residence, say directors William Orrick and Rex de Baugh.

"Our company specializes in architectural design and build. We work in close consultation with clients to create very tailored homes. The emphasis is on complete client satisfaction from initial budget, site requirements and design through to exterior and interior fitout completion," say Orrick and de Baugh.

In the holiday showhome featured on these pages, Iccon has worked with key industry suppliers to produce a highly individual lifestyle residence.

Nu-Wall aluminium cladding from REP provides a sleek, metallic exterior, which is complemented by aluminium joinery from NZ Windows. Gib Living Solutions from Winstones ensures a warm and insulated environment.

The kitchen and vanities were custom manufactured by John Prosser to complement the CaesarStone tops, Seratone panels and splashbacks supplied by the Laminex Group.
