Individual impact

In a world of endless streaming traffic, mass produced food and pop songs that all sound the same, individuality is a prized commodity. This is also true in terms of creating a contemporary retail setting, where standing out from the crowd is an excellent head start in business.
Pale hardwood floors from Ironwood Australia proved to be a master design stroke for our recently opened Sydney showroom, says Blinds by Bayliss' owner Terry Bayliss.
"We wanted a dramatic feature for the space that would complement our natural fabrics and window treatments," says Bayliss. "My architect recommended Ironwood because they are specialists, have a great showroom and a diverse range of flooring options."
Bayliss chose lighter-toned flooring appropriate to his range of natural-hued textiles, and wide floorboards to enhance the showroom's feeling of space.
"Achieving the look required was made easier by Ironwood recommending experienced, efficient installers," says Bayliss. "We've had a lot of enquiries about the floor from customers and have been more than happy to pass on Ironwood's name."
Ironwood's showroom displays new and recycled flooring, up to 250mm wide, and recycled beams, posts and dressed timbers, each one with individual character.
