Attractive planting has always been a good way to soften the hard landscaping elements in your garden. Similarly, curves and contours can help create a tranquil, intimate retreat.

For this project in East Auckland, the designer specified a curved pool and paving surround. Large 600mm x 600mm Haddonstone pavers from the Jagas Paving Platinum range were cut to fit the required contours. These were paired with matching 300mm x 300mm bullnose pavers, which feature on the curved steps and pool edge.

A narrow inset garden strip added to the complexity of the paving installation, carried out by Tony Wallnutt of Classique Landscapes.
