Home media furniture
Cabinetry that's purpose designed and built in a choice of standard and customised styles is the speciality of SydneySide
Developments in technology make it easy to watch movies and listen to music in the comfort of home with little or no loss of picture or sound quality. But what to do with all the equipment?
SydneySide, after more than 10 years producing custom-made cabinetry, has recently started specialising in media furniture. Its standard range includes 78 cabinets in the SL series and 16 in the CL series. Alternatively, SydneySide designers will produce a customised piece to meet your needs.
All cabinetry from SydneySide is modern in style, and purpose designed for media equipment. Each piece is made to a high standard with care and attention to detail. Drawers are fitted with full-extension Blum Tandembox runners with soft-closing mechanisms. Doors also feature soft-closing systems. The backs of cabinets are recessed, with large cable cutouts for easy access and improved air circulation, while framed glass doors accommodate remote control operation. Glass doors and flaps can be framed in aluminium or polyurethane. Height-adjustable legs ensure cabinet doors and drawers always align correctly.
The SL range features an aluminium shadowline for an attractive handle-free solution. The range is available in polyurethane, melamine and timber veneer in a selection of standard colours, or SydneySide offers a colour-matching service.
The CL range, available in polyurethane only, features a polyurethane shadowline on the front and sides of the cabinets, with a sculpted groove creating a handle. Both ranges are available with matching coffee tables.
