It's hard to beat the cosy ambience of a traditional log fire. But they can be a hassle, and older fireplaces are notoriously inefficient as a heat source.

You can have the best of both worlds, however. The Rinnai Slimfire 25 is a gas flame-effect fire suitable for both renovations and new homes. As well as being hassle-free, the Rinnai Slimfire 25 is an easy way to upgrade the look of your living area.

The fire offers a slim, contemporary design in metallic black or stainless steel. In addition, there are Inspiration Decorator Suite options for mantles and fascias that allow you to customise the fireplace to suit your decor.

Available in a range of colours and components, these options range from traditional to ultra modern styles. Mantels can be dark cherry, beech or raw wood, and fascias are black cast iron or cast-iron Duracote. The mantel includes an optional hearth in the same colour and style.

Fascias are either three- or four-sided units for floor level or raised fireplaces.

The Rinnai Slimfire can be installed into an existing masonry fireplace, or may be used to replace an in-built space heater. In both these instances, existing flues can be used, which provides an easier, lower-cost installation.

Special features of the fire include electronic push-button ignition, three heat settings, and a two-speed automatic fan for chilly winter mornings.
