heart of the city
All joinery elements supplied by Danish Quality Furniture had to offer environmentally intune materials and finishes.
As with the design, construction, amenities and location, furniture elements in Santos Place have an inviting, contemporary aesthetic.
In accordance with the brief, Danish Quality Furniture's objective was to provide a modern, cutting-edge office fit-out, incorporating sleek lines and functionality with strong design elements across all joinery elements, says project manager Peter Morello.
The veneer and cabinet materials on this project had to meet GECA or Alpine certification stating that the materials used are environmentally friendly and have been produced in such a manner as to reduce the amount of impact on the Earth's environment.
DQF managed the process of supplying joinery to comply with Green Star certification including adapting and modifying quality assurance systems and showing chain of custody from material purchase through fabrication to installation. In addition, proof of modularity, disassembly of joinery and weight of joinery were all provided.
Solvents, adhesives and lacquers with specific VOC levels that met stringent Green Star requirements were also sourced by Danish Quality Furniture.
