The design of this luxury apartment building makes the most ofits prime waterfront location and views of the Sydney skyline

When the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority put a substantial parcel of waterfront land up for sale, the opportunity was at hand to make a significant contribution to Sydney's waterfront.
Mirvac was well prepared for this project, having completed many others in the area.
In accordance with the existing approvals, an office building, public park and Saunders Wharf a waterfront apartment building containing 27 luxury dwellings were proposed. The large, three-bedroom apartments within Saunders Wharf would have efficient floor plans, seamless indoor and outdoor living areas, and high-quality finishes throughout.
HPA, Mirvac's in-house architectural, planning and design team, was responsible for the design of this project. Mirvac's sales and marketing director, James Bell, says the apartments are one of the company's premium developments.

"We believe the development will appeal to empty-nesters or middle-aged professionals," says Bell. "The advantages of living at Saunders Wharf include views, quality apartment design and construction, and the privacy of being in a boutique building."
The apartments are intended to be easy to lock up and leave. There is no swimming pool or other expensive shared amenities, which helps to keep the annual strata fees down.
"We always endeavour to use high-quality fittings, fixtures and finishes," says Bell.
Some of the premium features of this development include the Miele cooktops and ovens, Duravit sanitary ware, stone feature walls and motorised louvre panels.
The design takes into account the historical context of the site. HPA has endeavoured to make reference to the wharves, rail yard and sandstone quarry that occupied the area in the past.
Optimum views, access to the sun and protection from the weather have been taken into account, as have the need for cross-ventilation and shade.
