Green rolling paradise

Few things create a more distinctive look for external facades than architectural detailing. For Visage at Hyatt-Coolum, the architects have specified aluminium balustrades and facade screening that differ in design and colour from property to property. All are powdercoated for durability and ease of maintenance, in neutral tones such as bronzes, pearls, greys and marine hues.

The balustrade suite has a contemporary slim-line look, with colours that blend into the natural bush surrounds, says Jan Bissell, owner of Aluminium Balustrades.

Sun screening on the north and west of the properties provides solar protection and reduces air conditioning usage. Most homes have decorative privacy screens, clad with Danpalon sheeting that incorporates thermal cells to reflect heat away.

Clear glass is used for the pools' safety fencing and balcony balustrades. The stair balustrades also incorporate clear glass inserts, designed to give an airy feel throughout the properties.
