LIANZ is an industry body representing more than 200 members who are all practising landscape design, construction and garden-care professionals. LIANZ president Tim Williams says every accredited member needs to meet strict quality standards to qualify for admission.

For added peace of mind, members are bound by the LIANZ Code of Conduct and Constitution promoting excellence in all aspects of their work.

"Homeowners are not always aware of the landscaping potentials of a site whether it is a lifestyle block or a suburban backyard. However, LIANZ professionals are trained to realise the potential of any given site, no matter how large or small," says Williams. "Do it once, do it right, runs the adage. It can be a much less expensive option to hire a landscape professional to design and install your garden, than make a costly attempt yourself that effectively turns your valuable resource into fool's gold."
