Moving offices often provides a company with an opportunity to walk the talk when it comes to office design and fit-out. And that was exactly the case for leading office products supplier and commercial furniture company OfficeMax.

The move to a new 15,000m² northern distribution centre and 4500m² head office in Highbrook reflects the company's commitment to good office design, space planning, ergonomics and sustainability.

Managing director Kevin Obern says OfficeMax is continually working towards developing transparent environmental practices so that clients can make purchasing decisions that put the environment and the community first.

OfficeMax is also at the forefront of trends in ergonomic furniture design. The company's Work:Science range has been designed according to New Zealand and Australian standards as well as recognised ergonomic principles. This furniture collection consists of reliable, individually adjustable and ergonomically correct office furniture and ergonomic desk support products that have been endorsed by Andrew Wilson, a registered osteopath and ergonomic specialist, and leading ergonomist Professor Terry Cunniffe.

OfficeMax has also recently released its new Furniture Catalogue, which features more than 1400 products, ranging from ergonomic desks and chairs to boardroom tables and reception counters.

Other services provided by the company include a full interior design and project management service, which can minimise the risks associated with refitting, refurnishing or moving office. OfficeMax also operates a furniture recycling programme.
