Future perfect
Lowline provided and installed the sunshading panels and louvres for Green Square.
Keeping heat in or, in the case of structures built in sunny Queensland, making sure it stays out, is a major factor for obtaining a Green Star rating. To keep air conditioning costs to a minimum at Green Square, facades needed to be efficient in preventing heat from entering through the windows and walls.
Lowline supplied and installed vertical and horizontal aluminium sunshading panels and window louvres for the project. These were attached using concealed bracketry and mounting systems prior to the external cladding being placed, thus maintaining stringent structural requirements while retaining a seamless look for the building's exterior.
The company provided a combination of two differently finished aluminium sunshading panels for the facade of Green Square Seabreeze and Natural anodised. In some sections of the building horizontal and vertical panels are interconnected, which gives a dramatic appearance.
Anodised aluminium is a lightweight product that has exceptional corrosion-resistant properties. Panels are therefore durable and will last long into the future.
Lowline is a family-owned business dealing in the sale and installation of sun-screening products throughout Queensland. The company will take on any sized job, from a single louvre installation to the entire facade screen of a project like Green Square.
