Future perfect

An exceptional building design may be attractive in many ways pleasing to the eye, comfortable to work in and environmentally friendly enough to be awarded a Green Star rating. While Green Square ticks all of these boxes, the planning of the structural steel detailing still needed to be sound. Leighton Properties employed DKL Drafting to take care of these details.

Started in 1984, DKL Drafting is a small company with a reliable reputation. Director Glen Neuendorf says that Green Square was a medium-sized job for DKL the company often takes on extensive drafting jobs.

"We produced drawings of all the structural steel bones of the building for the steel fabricator to then erect. We liaised with the engineer, architect and builder to achieve the architect's desired design," he says.

At Green Square, this had to be executed in a limited time frame, but DKL Drafting managed to produce the drawings on time and to the satisfaction of the various parties involved.
