From the Emerald Isle
There's no reason to stay neutral when it comes to the use of colour in the kitchen. Surfaces in this kitchen feature several complementary shades, including Resene Moxie a bright shamrock green
Combining natural wood veneers with painted surfaces is one of the strongest trends in kitchen design. But this doesn't mean you have to work with neutral tones. As this project illustrates, a more adventurous approach can pay dividends.
Natural wood cabinets are paired with an island painted in Resene Moxie, a bright emerald green that brings a sporty, fresh look to interiors. Here it is paired with Resene Kookaburra and an adjacent wall in Resene Chocolate Lounge.
All three shades can be found in the newly released Resene The Range 2011/12 fashion fandeck. This presents a collection of more than 160 complementary colours that reflect current trends.
The kitchen shown above is painted in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen, which provides a durable finish suitable for broadwall and wet areas.
The Resene Kitchen & Bathroom range is formulated with anti-bacterial silver and MoulDefender to protect against bacteria and mould. Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen Kitchen & Bathroom is suitable for walls, and can be teamed with Resene Lustacryl Kitchen & Bathroom on trim and joinery.
