Designing a new healthcare facility provides an ideal opportunity to incorporate the latest audiovisual technology.

Audiovisual specialist All AV was contracted to supply, install and programme all the AV equipment for the Poche Centre. As well as commissioning and testing the equipment, the company provided staff training, and will continue to provide ongoing support and training.

Both the conference room and auditorium feature high-definition Sony dual-camera video conferencing facilities with connectivity to the Mater operating theatres, widescreen Sanyo projectors and motorised projection screens. The auditorium has an Extron presentation switcher for video routing, while the conference room has a VGA matrix switcher. Both rooms have an AMX control system, which includes wireless touch panels with wall docking stations. There is an additional 5-inch lectern touch panel for the auditorium.

Audio digital signal processing in the auditorium is via a biamp NexiaVC, while a biamp Audioflex system provides voice reinforcement in the conference room. Further audio reinforcement is provided by gooseneck and wireless handheld microphones, discreet recessed systems, and multi-channel in-ceiling audio reinforcement in the conference room.
