Based on a traditional Otago farmhouse, the rugged good looks of this home belie its European-inspired interior
It's not often that the size of a bathtub determines the design of a bathroom. In this case, however, the architects at Rutherford Homes were so keen to incorporate a Kohler sok bath into the bathroom that they scaled the room up to ensure a good fit.
The bath has a capacity of 475 litres and an in-built heater. In addition, its design incorporates an infinity pool-style overflow. This allows water to cascade over the bath's inner rim, a pump recirculating it with a fizz of champagne bubbles.
