To complement the upmarket interior of thisnew Multiplex-built apartment, designer Lynn Malone specified Miele appliances

It is always interesting to see what materials and products designers choose for their own kitchens. For the owner of the Sydney apartment featured on these pages, there was no question when it came to appliances.

Lynn Malone says she specified Miele stainless steel appliances to complement the dark timber veneer cabinetry and the white, 80mm, reconstituted stone benchtops. Malone says she has previously owned Miele appliances in the United States and appreciated their aesthetics and their established reputation.

The kitchen features a Miele H316-1B stainless steel built-in wall oven, a H137MB Combi oven, a KM417 stainless steel, four-burner ceramic gas cooktop, and the Slimline DA326-1 rangehood.

The wall oven offers several operating modes, including rapid heat-up, enhanced fan heat and fan grill. It also features Miele's Perfect Clean interior, a surface finish that is easy to wipe clean.

Further cooking options are provided by the Miele H137MB Combi oven, which combines conventional oven functions with a powerful microwave, providing faster cooking times. This oven comes with a range of functions for defrosting, reheating and cooking.

The Miele KM417 four-burner, ceramic glass gas cooktop has an electronic ignition and a flame-failure safety system.

The Slimline rangehood, integrated to match the kitchen cabinetry, has a stainless steel front trim and electronic controls providing three power settings. It is insulated to ensure low noise levels.
