Master bathrooms are increasingly in the spotlight today, as homeowners look to surround themselves with a soothing, luxurious environment.

For this bathroom, it was the texture that helped create a distinctive style. Designer Candice Olson contrasted sleek, dark-stained wood cabinetry with crisp white Silestone Quartz surfaces. Silestone White Zeus is featured on the vanity top, and extends down the sides of the cabinetry. Deep, mitered corners help to visually anchor the unit.

White Zeus also appears on the tub surround, floor tiles and shower walls, creating a sparkling, clean look. Further interest is provided by wall panels featuring SenSa¢ Muro in the Piazza design.

Much of the room's visual impact can be attributed to the quartz surfaces, which reflect the natural sparkle of this highly durable and versatile mineral.

But Silestone benefits don't stop at aesthetics. Because it is non-porous, it never needs sealing, and moisture, stains, bacteria and microbes cannot penetrate the surface. This makes it a practical option for kitchens as well as bathrooms.

In addition, Silestone features built-in Microban® antimicrobial product protection, which helps prevent the growth of microbes, providing cleaner and safer countertops. Surfaces are also easier to keep clean.

Silestone Quartz is the only surfacing material to feature built-in Microban® protection in combination with NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) Certification and Greenguard Certification. Greenguard means that Silestone has low-to-no toxic emissions. This helps reduce the level of harmful pollutants in your home.

Silestone Quartz is available coast-to-coast in North America, through an established network of distributors, Certified Installers, and more than 4500 retail outlets, as well as being online at www.e-counters.com.
