Down to the waterline
This contemporary pool appears to start from a frothing spa and then run directly out to sea design and installation is by Elite Pools
Swimming pools provide a little splash of ocean conveniently situated a few steps from your own back door. But the inherent aesthetic impact of lapping water is even greater when it appears to connect directly to the landscape.
Elite Pools creates a range of swimming pools to suit every residence and situation, including the infinity-edge pool featured here.
Director Justin Mihaere says this is typical of Elite Pools' work, in that the design and environment work closely together for maximum impact.
Attention to detail, in terms of both design and installation, is a hallmark of the company and this seaside pool is a case in point. A falling sheet of water below the lip of the spa gives the appearance of overflowing directly from spa to the main pool. This impression is repeated downstream with the infinity edge appearing to flow on into the sea.
"We undertake all manner of new pools and refurbishment projects," says Mihaere. "These include installations throughout the greater Auckland area and as far south as Wellington."
