Desert glamour
Adding a sparkle
The luster and sparkle of crystal ensure it imparts a sense of glamour and luxury, whether it is made into jewelry or objets d'art.
Lalique, the French glass designer renowned for its crystal jewelry, vases and other decorative items, supplied a number of pieces for this home to complement an already established collection.
The Lalique Fish Fountain, from a 1937 design by Rene Lalique, was made for the outside patio.
Christophe Pilinski, boutique director of Lalique in Las Vegas, says the fountain, handcrafted in the French factory, took a year to make.
For the entrance hall, Lalique provided its crystal Cactus Table, an iconic design created in 1951 by Marc Lalique.
Flanking the entrance are two Lalique Rinceaux mirrors from a 1950 design by Marc Lalique. Lalique Faunes door handles, from a 1962 design, adorn the double doors of the master suite, while Samoa drawer pulls were used on cabinetry in the entrance hallway and Cactus in the study upstairs.
