Reflected glory

In a home where art and artifacts are an integral part of the interior scheme, design elements such as shelving and display stands need to complement them.
A Clear View Glass & Mirror, Inc was selected to provide custom glass shelving, doors and mirrors for several rooms in the house.
Dale DeMann, president of A Clear View Glass & Mirror, Inc, says his company's design objective was to enhance the artistic nature of the home and to reflect the interior scheme of the designer.
In the handbag room, the company produced creative design concepts for the handbag display unit. The glass shelves were individually made and are suspended on a cable system, which is designed to be adjustable to accommodate any size of purse or bag the owner may choose to add to her collection.
The company also produced a mirror from drawings provided by Julie Porter. This involved making perfect, sharp, back-cuts into the mirror by hand to get the exact shape specified.
Working to plans supplied by the designer, A Clear View Glass & Mirror also handmade custom glass in a special curved, wavy pattern for the double doors leading into the master suite.
"With this part of the project, the main challenge was to find custom-patterned glass that would provide a subtle, yet artistic, look for the master suite," says DeMann.
In addition, the company also made all the bevelled mirrors lining the walls of the gymnasium.

For all areas, A Clear View Glass & Mirror supplied the cabling systems, custom shelf adjusters and hinges, anchors and heavy glass with custom edgework.
