For busy homeowners, the most appealing appliances are those that are designed to be easy to operate and can be depended on to perform well every time they are used.

Smeg's new Linea kitchen appliances combine these qualities with a sleek, understated appearance that comes from the frameless design of glass and satin stainless steel. The appliances are designed so that they can be grouped to create a clean-lined cube.

The collection incorporates multifunction ovens in various sizes including the new, larger 68-litre cavity convection microwave and microwave ovens, a warmer drawer, a steam oven, cooktops and a matching coffee machine. Linea series electric multifunction ovens can be 70cm or 60cm wide. Pyrolytic models are available in all sizes, and other features include smart chef, intuitive cooking, Smeg's new thermoseal and ever-clean enamel.

Smeg's steam oven provides a healthy and natural alternative. Cooking with steam helps to retain vitamins and minerals in food, as well as preserving natural colour and texture and enhancing flavour. For those who like piping hot food, Smeg's 15cm-high warming oven is a great asset. It can be fitted directly beneath the oven and offers a smooth drawer function, non-slip drawer liner and electronic touch controls.

A new addition to the Linea range, the coffee machine is completely automatic and uses beans or ground coffee. Strength, serving size and temperature can all be customised, and with automatic rinsing it is simple to look after.
