Two touch screens control the home automation system
Along with traditional craftsmanship, this home, with two home theaters and other computer-controlled services, needed a state-of-the-art integrated home automation system. Simplicity was important the owner wanted to use only a few key strokes, and avoid complicated instructions.
The homeowners also wanted a fun, high-performance entertainment system that would allow them to enjoy music and make use of the 26 televisions inside and outside the home, says Kevin Peltier, co-owner of HP Media Group.
The company designed and installed an integrated computer system that controls the lighting, security, CCTV, temperature, motorized drapes and shades, pool and spa equipment, audio and video systems, and two home theaters.
The kitchen and master suite have a Creston 15-inch color touch screen built into the wall. They show a floor plan layout of the house, so that the homeowners can see the status and control the operation of all the home's systems.
"Although the system is large, using it is easy, because the controls are the same in each room."
