The sight and sound of the home's pool is a constant backdrop to daily life in this desert home.

The pool is a combination of straight and free-flowing lines that blend into the natural landscape and echo the home's traditional Tuscan design, says Kevin Kraft, company president of Ozzie Kraft Enterprises.

The pool decks are covered with limestone tiles, to match the floors in the home, blurring the lines between indoors and out. The fire bowls are a similar color and texture as the stone used elsewhere.

Other features include a swim-up bar with stainless steel stools and granite seats, granite bar and barbecue tops, Viking barbecue and Sub-Zero refrigerated drawers. The nine fire bowls, fountains, waterfalls, lights and temperature are controlled by the home automation system.

The spa is a more private feature of the outdoor living area, says Kraft.

"The spa is made mainly from simulated rock, to blend with the mountains in the background and give a natural grotto feel."
