The 270-ft ironwork staircase took four months to complete
A commitment to old-world craftsmanship isparticularly evident in the 270ft main staircase.
The filigree ironwork balustrade took four months to create by hand, using traditional forging techniques to heat and hammer the metal, says Osvaldo Ayala, owner of Ossi's Iron Works.
"We do everything by hand and eye we don't use a computer or machine for this work."
The company also made the ironwork for the home's balcony, gates, pickets and railings.
