Keeping appliances grouped together lends visual cohesion to a kitchen, especially when these appliances are sourced from the same company.

Teka has an 80-year history manufacturing kitchen appliances. The company uses the same grade of stainless steel and glass for all its appliances, says managing director Darryl Mohr.

"Details such as the red LED lights and the shapes of handles and buttons all work to create a consistent look in any kitchen."

Adding to this aesthetic is Teka's column concept. Microwaves and ovens of the same shape and size can be placed together vertically or horizontally, creating the look of a column or row.

"Teka was a pioneer of this look and introduced it to the European market. We will release an espresso machine and steam oven this year to enhance the concept."

All Teka appliances are backed by a three-year manufacturer's warranty.
