A well-dressed house is an easier property to sell
Good architecture needs to be complemented by a well-designed interior. To furnish the Mount Maunganui house in preparation for selling, the owner commissioned The Look an Auckland team of homestagers.
Designer Sharda Robertson says the contemporary architecture and the beachfront location provided the inspiration for the interior.
"For any project, we read the house to determine what will work best," she says. "Here, we went for a nice, relaxed, beachside living environment, with neutral colours that wouldn't detract from the magnificent views. We included muted marine tones, such as turquoise, and added bright chartreuse accents to bring a tropical feel to the family living area."
The Look not only supplied all the furniture, but also the accessories, including cushions, rugs, lamps, bed linen and kitchen items.
