Planning a new kitchen is something most of us will do only once or twice in a lifetime. So it's hardly surprising the prospect can seem a little overwhelming. It's even more confusing when you add new appliance technology to the mix.

All that is changing however, thanks to the new Kleenmaid appliance partnerships, a nationwide network that brings together all the elements that make a great kitchen.

Based on a European distribution model, the Kleenmaid partnerships, known as galleries are the brainchild of CEO Danny Hamilton.

"In Europe, people go to a kitchen studio to purchase their appliances, all in conjunction with planning their new kitchen. Having the kitchen designer, manufacturer and appliances all in the same place means there is never any problem with appliances not quite fitting into the kitchen, or looking out of place."

Hamilton says combining the Kleenmaid range of appliances with kitchen studios is also an endorsement that works both ways.

"Linking arms with an established kitchen company is a way of saying we believe their product enhances our brand and vice versa," he says. "It creates a strong synergy that is immensely valuable, and has many benefits for the consumer. Kleenmaid galleries are especially inspirational, providing new ideas, materials and the latest appliance technology, all in the one store."

Hamilton says Kleenmaid has spent the past two years developing its Next Generation appliances, and the only way for people to see these is to visit a Kleenmaid gallery partner.

"We call it the Kleenmaid Experience. People can see the appliances in action, and talk to consultants who are passionate about the products and have the knowledge and skills to discuss each client's requirements and preferences."

One of the most talked-about innovations on show is the new Kleenmaid Elevator oven. As the name suggests, the automated Elevator oven shelves rise beyond bench height, which eliminates the need to bend over to remove hot dishes.

New designs include the Kleenmaid Compacto 45cm series. These appliances can be arranged in a linear format or stacked like cubes.

Kleenmaid has also introduced the larger Creative oven series, and the Next Generation gas cooktops, which feature electronic touch controls instead of traditional knobs.

Hamilton says Kleenmaid has a new website showcasing the appliances, along with kitchens by leading designers and manufacturers.

"The website is a resource for consumers, a place to research everything they need to know before embarking on a kitchen project."
